Merino Wool Socks - our fits
Our merino wool socks are jacquard knitted. This means that the pattern is created as part of the knitting itself, rather than being printed on afterwards. This type of knitting means that our different patterns have different fits, even though they are knitted in the same size.
How a sock fits depends not only on how it is knitted, but also on the shape of your foot. A slimmer model may sit comfortably and follow the shape of a narrower foot, while the same model may feel considerably more snug on a wider foot or around a higher instep. In that case, it may also be more difficult to put on and take off. A roomier model, on the other hand, gives the foot a little more space and may feel more comfortable on a wider foot. Wool socks gradually shape themselves to the foot over time, and it is through being worn that they truly come into their own.
Wondering about the fit of our socks? Here are some guidelines:
Futhark, Lycksele and Skåne are our slimmer models. They have a slightly lighter feel and sit closer to the foot. They suit those who prefer a sock that follows the shape of the foot and feels neat inside the shoe.
Ekshärad, Fred, Fästfolk, Gotland, Kören, Ringdans and Yggdrasil are our models with a more classic fit. They have a soft feel around the foot and work well on many different feet, making them versatile models.
Dalarna, Gamla stan, Haga, Hansan, Skaftö and Skogen are our roomier models. They have a slightly more open feel around the foot and may suit those who appreciate a little more room.
