With the right care, your Öjbro Vantfabrik products can last for many years to come.
Our wool products are made from natural materials. All the wool we use is mulesing-free, which means that the welfare of the sheep is always taken into account. In our socks, we mix the wool with a small amount of polyamide for increased durability and lycra to give a good fit.
Wool has natural self-cleaning and antibacterial properties, so it usually doesn't need to be washed very often. In many cases, airing the product, preferably outdoors, is enough to freshen it up.
Air the product in the first instance. If it still needs to be washed, we recommend a wool program at 30 degrees without spinning, or another very gentle program. Feel free to use a liquid detergent adapted for wool.
After washing, lay the product flat to dry. Shape it when wet to help it maintain its fit and expression.
Our socks are washed at 40 degrees. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean. Feel free to use a gentle detergent to help socks maintain their fit and quality over time.
Our tea towels are woven from 100% organic cotton. They are washed at 60 degrees. They should not be bleached or tumble dried. If necessary, they can be ironed on high heat and hung up to dry.
Burls are natural small lumps that can form from excess fibers of natural yarns. When the product is used, the fibers are exposed to abrasion and can become matted. The nubs can be easily removed with your fingers or gently brushed off with a regular clothes brush.
Avoid using machines designed to remove knots, as they can damage the fibers by cutting them off. This, in turn, can lead to the formation of new pilling.
